Ohhh Campini's!! You are an amazing little gem of a deli! You make my taste buds sing! It had been much too long since our last visit. We were in the area and it was 4:47 pm and they close at 5. I called in my order and they made my sandwiches, got my salads and desserts together and then carried my items to the car (I am in the middle of a terrible fibromyalgia flair and they could tell I was in pain)!
We ordered a meatball sub and the smell was heavenly (I think Joey from "FRIENDS" would love this place lol)! That wasn't mine though but I have it on good authority that it was delicious. We also ordered a pastrami sandwich and a Campini's special (sorry...by the time I thought to take pictures, our sandwiches were not as pretty as they once were lol). We also had cannolis, black & white cookies, Italian Wedding cookies, pasta salad, marinated mushrooms and feta cucumber salad. Did I say cannolis? Because CANNOLIS! The best cannolis ever!
Everything was delicious! We vowed to go back at least once a month because it's over an hour away from home but well worth the trip! The delicious food is reason enough to go but then the service was wonderful! Sometimes, when you go somewhere that close to closing time, service can be lacking but nope! They were awesome! Everything was so fresh! My mom could not quit saying how good everything was...high praise from an excellent cook!! Check it out and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
My sister-in-law called two weeks ago to place an order for my in-laws 40th anniversary party FOR 30 people to feed. Well to our surprise they told us to make the call three days before the party.
As of today my sister-in-law called and they have denied us our dinner to hold on to place our order so now we have to scramble last minute and find a caterer for our party thanks a lot!! DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.! What a pain in the A**. I will never order from here again. Not even a Sorry for the inconvenience!!!! Like really!!! BAD bad business. This will be on Temecula talk as well.
This is a gem that we stumbled upon one afternoon. My husband and I were in Old Town and I felt like a deli sandwich, something other than Subway and the regular places.
I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. This is certainly a hole in wall, right by the Harley Dealer. When you walk in you will feel as though you just stepped into a little deli in Italy. There is a deli counter with a great selection of cold meats and cheese. There is also an array of olives, desserts and other goodies.
The store is filled with products from Italy; wines, pasta, sauce and lots more. There is also a freezer section with freshly made pasta, gnocchi and a whole lot more.
We ordered deli sandwiches and they were so delicious. I had a PLT (prosciutto) and my husband had a meatball sandwich. The size was generous and the flavor was memorable.
This is a wonderful family owned store. I will certainly be back to try the pre-made pasta meals from the freezer.
What can I say about this place except that they make you feel like one of the family. We love coming here. They food is excellent, the atmosphere is charming and the staff is warm and welcoming. I love their veggie sandwich and I always try and grab an eclair for the ride home.
Such an amazing family owned Italian Deli in Temecula! I love how they have a large variety of meats and pastas. My gf and I ordered their Campini special, hot pastrami sandwich, and their tortellini pasta salad. We brought the food to one of the wineries nearby and it still tasted great after a 20 minute drive. My hot pastrami sandwich was the star. The bread that it was on was great as it was crispy and had the right amount of chew. The saltiness, cheese, and mustard were in all in balance for a tasty sandwich. I definitely recommend stopping by here to pick up your lunch for a picnic at the wineries.
